Excuses are OVERRRR!

So, after all of this bullsh*t to be frank, I have ran out of excuses and got with the program.

Today I have successfully completed week 1.

I have hand written every workout for 90 days on my Calendar.. through July

I have posted dates of when I take pictures 30, 60, 90 and also measurements.

I have worked out this week---when I didn't want to, when I "didn't have time", when I didn't have any excuses left for myself... I STILL DID IT!

because...well I can do it!

and well...looking at those before pictures... in 30 days I best not look the same..

Chocolate Oatmeal Shakeology

My Brunch Today...

I recently saw a recipe for chocolate oatmeal shakeology and I figured I needed to give it a go. I will say, I am not a HUGE oatmeal fan, but the more added to it..the better in my opinion.

I am actually eating this right now, and am half way done and FILLING UP FAST! For not eating breakfast this is a huge brunch for me. 410 calories all packed with yummy goodness.

1 Packet of oatmeal ( I used Cinnamon Weight Control)
2 cups of water (better to go with more water I learned because you will be adding to it)
1 tsp of natural peanut butter
1 scoop of chocolate shakeology
***Do not add the shakeology until the oatmeal has cooled (help protect all the goodies)

I usually love my shakeology just fine in a shake...but it is always nice to try something new!

Double Time!

I have some making up to do. Not really sure what I was thinking starting my workout routine over on Thursday when Landon's birthday was Friday. Oh wait, I was going to wake up early Friday and workout. Well, my poor baby puked the entire night of his birthday. :( Poor dude.

After a weekend with family and an exhausting (but cute) cling-on 3 year old I have TO. GET. MOVING.

Which means 1) I haven't worked out since Thursday 2) I have double time today and 3) No rest day tomorrow to catch up.

The thing with working out is... you think of all the things to stop yourself before the actual workout, but when it is over...you feel accomplished and want to concur so much more.

SO JUST GET THE WORKOUT DONE!

HIIT 15 and FIRE 30 are on the agenda today... ...oh and everything else a mother must do ;)

Today is the day.

Can I just say that it felt amazing to get my workout done in the morning. I have been doing my workouts late evening because it worked well for everyone's schedule, and while I didn't mind it the freedom to do it in morning is AMAZING.

So, if I am going to do this the right way I need to take measurements of my body and every 30 days I will remeasure. I am going to weigh myself once a week (which is not necessary), but I am personally doing a Biggest Loser Challenge with my April 08 momma's and a weigh-in is a requirement for myself.

Here they are....all out in the open:

Day 1:

Bicep: 12 1/2 In
Chest: 37 1/2 In
Waist: 34 In
Hips: 40 In
Thighs: Left 24 In Right 23 1/2 IN

Can I just say how amazing Turbo Fire is. I have NEVER in my life pushed myself more in a workout. EVER. I am still dripping with sweat 15 minutes after it is complete. It is everything you want it to be, and more.

On my own.

My workout buddy informed me tonight, that she is no longer going to be able to make our nightly workout routine as part of her schedule.

Just seeing the words on the text message I initially thought two things. The first is that I have relied on her coming as my motivation to workout. If she was not here, I think I could have EASILY thrown in the towel long before. The second was that if I am really going to do this, I need to do this for ME. Every day.

Yes, I may have a workout buddy here or there, but it should not interrupt my own goals.

I started this blog tonight as a way for me to finally begin to find "me" in the "mom" that I am.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love to be a mom. Love it. But, I need to focus on myself, to be better in that role.

Tomorrow I am going to start all the way from the beginning of Turbo Fire. Week one: Day 1
